Board Meetings
Beginning in 2023, the Rogers City Area Fire Department Authority Board meets monthly at its new location: 504 West Park Drive Rogers City, MI 49779. Meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month. All meetings are open to the public.

Staffing & Apparatus
The Authority is staffed by paid on‑call firefighters and medical first responders who provide emergency services throughout the region. All equipment is housed in Rogers City and includes:
- Two pumpers
- One tele‑squirt
- Two tankers
- One brush truck
- One rescue truck
- One first responder vehicle
This fleet supports structural firefighting, medical response, vehicle accidents, and wildland fire operations.
Funding & Cost Recovery
RCAFDA operations are funded through a voter‑approved millage, grants, and service‑related charges. When a fire occurs, a portion or all of the response costs may be billed to the property owner. These charges may be submitted to the property owner’s insurance company for reimbursement, depending on policy coverage.

Our Board Members
The Authority is staffed by a dedicated team of paid on‑call firefighters and medical first responders who provide around‑the‑clock emergency coverage and maintain ongoing training in fire suppression, rescue operations, and medical response. All equipment is housed in Rogers City and includes two pumpers for primary fire attack, a tele‑squirt for elevated operations, two tankers for water transport in rural areas, a brush truck for wildland incidents, a rescue truck equipped for extrication and technical support, and a rapid‑response vehicle for medical calls. The Authority is funded through a voter‑approved millage, supplemented by grants and service‑related charges, and the cost of responding to a specific fire may be billed to the property owner and submitted to their insurance for reimbursement. Oversight is provided by a Board of Directors composed of appointed representatives from the four participating townships and the Rogers City Council, ensuring coordinated governance and long‑term planning for the region’s emergency services.
